Suffice to say, there are plenty of slalom skis on the market aimed at would-be world competition record holders. However, it doesn’t seem like there are many great options for skiers who aren’t quite ready to jump into competition buoy turning.

You know who you are -- you’ve been getting up on one combo ski for the past two years, you feel confident and poised behind the boat, but you’re not quite ready to start going after world records. What you need is a ski that can help bridge the gap from beginner hobby skier to world class water slicer, and that’s where the 2013 HO Triumph comes in.

The Triumph brings the chops of a tournament style ski, but in a package that is forgiving enough to not break your spirit on your way to faster times. This year, the Triumph continues it’s reputation of being an all around crowd pleaser with a couple new exciting features.

Ski Profile

Rider Skill: Cross-over, Beginner to Advanced
Construction Material:Carbon Fiber and Fiberglass
Rocker Type: 5 Stage Rockerline
Bevel: Step Concave Design
Warranty: 1 Year
Lengths Available: 65”, 67", 69", 71"

The Triumph incorporates HO’s new patented Speed Step technology, which is a stepped concave pattern in the ski that prevents water from clinging to the bottom of the ski, effectively eliminating the unnecessary drag. This feature was originally developed for HO’s Syndicate line of professional tournament skis, but has been graciously made available in the much more beginner friendly Triumph.

What makes this ski very versatile however is probably it’s oversized shape. There is no doubt that as you strap this ski on for the first time, you will be thankful for how comfortable the ride is. Thanks to the bigger shape you will find yourself flowing into turns with the greatest of ease, and feeling less of the impact from the wake.

The Triumph is very unique to the market, because very few skis can so elegantly pull off the best features of both a competition ski and a beginner ski. In a nutshell this ski aims to give you personal “triumphs” and you will likely have this ski under your feet the whole time as you make your way from beginner to expert.

Primary Features

  • Cross-over skier
  • Speed Step Technology for reduced ski drag and increased ski speed.
  • Oversized Shape for effortless skiing at reduced boats speeds.
  • Blended Carbon & Fibreglass Reinforcements for a more forgiving ride
  • Polyurethane Foam Core for a traditional feel
  • Aluminum T-Extrusion
  • Handmade in Seattle, Washington, USA
  • 5-Stage Rocker for maximum speed, angle and stability.

Who’s this ski for?

In a word, everyone. This is one of the most crowd pleasing skis on the market, and it’s so well constructed and so well thought out, that it will likely stay in your family for generations to come. So whether you are looking for a great ski to keep on the boat for visiting guests, or a ski that will put you on your way to the tournament, you will not be disappointed by the Triumph.
