Wakesurfing is undeniably fun, so much fun that every year more and more people allocate more of their boating time to it. In turn this has caused many wake manufacturers to spend more and more time researching and developing wakesurf boards.
One such company is Liquid Force, and for 2013 they have brought back their popular Nose Rider surfboard and needless to say, it’s absolutely tantalizing. Everything about this board just screams mellow riding sessions with good friends, good tunes, and warm water. Even just looking at the board will have you jonesing to throw five toes on the nose.
Rider Skill: Beginner to Advanced

Shape: Longboard Style Nose, Concave Base

Not much has to be said about the Liquid Force Nose Rider, as it built using the time honored methods of traditional surfboard shaping. The nose is nice and wide to prevent untimely sinking, there are two sprawling traction pads to prevent foot slips, and there is enough real estate up top to let you prop up a chair and ride it lazy boy style -- if you so desire.
Liquid Force has done a phenomenal job of taking all the best features from a long board, and consolidating them down into a short 5’2” package making it ideally suited for wakesurfing. And if that weren’t enough they added a dual concave base to give it enough speed to keep you perfectly centered in the sweet spot.
- Light Weight Hand Shaped Core - A hand-finished board stays true to the original proto and provides a smoother, cleaner ride.
- Full Deck EVA Grooved Traction Pads - Positive sure footed grip, right where you need it.
- Double Concave Hull - Dual concavities provide the lift and acceleration needed to keep you in the wake.
- 2+1 Removable Fin Setup - Removable outer fins give you the option of a looser, faster board. The center fin can be moved forward or back to alter the turning radius.
Who’s this board for?
It is quite clear that the Nose Rider has a place in everyone’s gear arsenal. Granted, it is not the board to use if you want to do quick spins or fast cutbacks. But, for those days when you want to keep everything low key and low impact -- then you will definitely be glad to have this board on the boat.
This board is also extremely well suited for beginners. It is probably one of the most buoyant wakesurfers on the market, and the giant nose and concave base is so forgiving that it requires almost no work to keep the board centered in the wave. Basically, if you can stand upright you can ride this board with great ease.
In short, if you love wakesurfing then the Liquid Force Nose Rider can’t miss.
