At the age of 50, Kris LaPoint was the elder of the men's slalom participants. With a score of 3@39 off he advanced from the qualifying round on Friday to the semifinals on Saturday. Kris is a nine-time National Slalom Champion and seven-time U.S. Masters Slalom Champion. In 1992 in San Diego he became the oldest man to win a pro tour stop.
