1999 Masters Photos
Callaway Gardens, Pine Mountain, Georgia
May 28-30, 1999
The 1999 Masters was a well polished and exciting event, and was a great way to spend Memorial Day weekend. This action packed tournament did not skip a beat and ran like a smooth oiled machine. The only time it got off schedule was in the uncontrollable incident of a rain delay.
One athlete after another quickly hit the water at this beautiful and clean facility of Callaway Gardens. Watching the athletes in the Pavilion area, where they prepare for their time on the water, gave the spectators a sense of friendly competitive spirit. The athletes were seen supporting each other and pumping each other up before hitting the water, even if they were in competition with each other. The athletes were also very approachable, freely talking with the fans and signing autographs. Some even gave away their ski bibs to fans after they were finished competing.
I'd like to thank the following people for making my trip to the Masters both possible and exciting:
Joel Staley and Eric Bartels with Kenton Smith Advertising and Public Relations, Inc.
Bob Burns, National Sales Manager with Correct Craft Boats
Rachel Crumbley, Public Relations Manager with Callaway Gardens
Charles and Angie Barnes
