Here's how to go about finding other people to go waterskiing / wakeboarding with. You may not have to own a boat after all.

- Post your search on the About.com Waterski / Wakeboard Forum in the "Looking for a Ski Buddy" folder. Post on any other forums / bulletin boards you may find as well.
- Post your search on the rec.sport.waterski newsgroup.
- Join a local waterski club.
- Contact a local waterski school. They may be able to put you in touch with other skiers.
- Ask the folks who work at the marinas. They see who leaves the docks with ski equipment.
- Check out the folks at the boat launch ramps.
- Ask the people at near-by pro shops if they know of anyone who would be interested.
- Participate in a waterskiing / wakeboarding online discussion lists.
- Go to waterski / wakeboard tournaments. They are a great way to meet others who share your same interests.
- Register on SportsMatchOnline - www.sportsmatchonline.com, to find others with your same interests.
Tips:
- If you do not have a boat of your own, always offer to pitch in gas money.
- Try to get to know people a little before agreeing right away to go boating with them. They may end up being people who you would not normally hang out with.
