From the time I started wakeboarding, there has always been a boat company that has been somewhat elusive to me. Living on the eastern seaboard we don't see many Tigé (pronounced tie-guh, like a New Yorker saying tiger) boats on the water. However, after getting acquainted with the 2013 Tigé lineup I am thoroughly convinced that I have been missing out on some great rides.
Based in Abilene Texas, Tige has built a reputation of making solid, well tuned, detail oriented -- and dare I say it, luxurious -- tow boats. And 2013 will become a landmark year for Tige, because they have just announced their new ConvexVX hull attachment which will be available for all of the new models.
The ConvexVX is a a fiberglass attachment which extends the length of the hull to create a longer wave with even more riding surface. In short -- it makes wakesurfing that much better! If you want to see more on the ConvexVX, head over to the Tige website for pictures and videos of it in action.
In the meantime, feast your eyes on these amazing 2013 Tige Models, I think you'll find that there's something for everyone.
Also, if any of you out there have a Tige boat let us know what you think about it in the comments section.
